Heisler Landing

Heisler Landing; Heisler Site is a multi-use project for Laguna Beach, California, in the development stages. It presents many opportunities as well as many significant challenges for our team. It will be situated on the main thoroughfare of this beach town known for its surfing style and artist’s community and incomparable beaches. It is across the street from a first class art museum and a short block from the ocean.

The lower preliminary renderings do not represent the actual architecture but rather were drawn to delineate parts of the buildings' relationship to the public right-of-way and the other local surrounding features. The intention of this presentation is to provide a starting point for locals and public officials to assess the possibilities of this new block.

The object here is to design a luxurious and accommodating boutique hotel while maintaining a laid back, human scale street presence that provides relaxed and inviting spaces for tourists and villagers alike. Paying close attention and homage to the village character of Laguna Beach we are designing a refined forward looking aesthetic that will endure and serve city of Laguna Beach well in the future. A valuable feature of this plan is a two level subterranean parking structure. One level will serve the hotel guests and employees and the other will be city parking that is very much needed for visitors and residents. The video above is merely a massing schematic and is being used as a development tool. It does not represent the actual architectural model we will be proposing.

Heisler Landing; Heisler Site will be an enduring part of the beauty and charm of Laguna Beach, CA.
