Robert A. McGraw
Principal Architect

Hailing from the vibrant streets of Brooklyn, New York, Robert McGraw is a distinguished architect whose journey is as dynamic as his designs. A proud graduate of the Pratt Institute, he possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture that laid the foundation for a remarkable career. After honing his skills at prestigious architectural firms in Manhattan, Bob as his friends call him, embraced a new challenge as the Building Inspector and Zoning Official in the charming town of Woodstock, NY. It was here that he embarked on a personal project, crafting his own home—a venture he lovingly describes as his "most challenging experience," showcasing his dedication and artistry. Bob's talent soon led him to the majestic landscapes of Aspen, Colorado, where he took the helm of an office for the esteemed Chicago developer, Otis Associates. His portfolio flourished, encompassing an eclectic mix of projects, from luxurious ski lodges for Stein Erikson in Deer Valley, Utah, to cutting-edge genetic research laboratories in Boulder, CO, as well as bespoke residences that reflect his unique aesthetic. Now nestled in the picturesque community of Laguna Beach, California, Bob proudly leads McGraw Architect Inc., a boutique firm that embodies a hands-on approach to both residential and commercial projects. Specializing in high-end custom homes, thoughtful home improvements, and exquisite historic restorations, McGraw Architect Inc. is synonymous with sophistication and craftsmanship. Bob's commitment to the architectural landscape extends beyond design. He has actively contributed to the community through his roles on the Design Review Board and the Heritage Committee of Laguna Beach, while also serving as the Architecture Advisory Consultant for Three Arch Bay. With each project, Robert McGraw continues to elevate the art of architecture, crafting spaces that are not just structures, but experiences that resonate with beauty and purpose.
